The main objective of the study was to describe the social and economic impact of the containment measures adopted by the PhilippinePhgovernment in response to COVID-19 pandemic on households with children in the National Capital Region.
More specifically, the study aimed to:
a. Identify the immediate socio-economic impact of containment measures on children, families and communities;
b. Describe the correlation between the identified social and economic impact vis-à-vis achieving health, nutrition, WASH, education,
child protection and social protection outcomes for children, families and communities;
c. Describe the correlation between the identified social and economic impact vis-à-vis the economic capacity of the household to meet
basic needs before and after the outbreak; and
d. Identify policy and programme recommendations to reduce and/or mitigate the social and economic impact.
