Development of a National Social Protection Strategy for India

EPRI is engaged in a long-term agreement with UNICEF India to support the development of its National Social Protection Strategy. Since 2016, as part of this project, EPRI has developed an extensive base paper on a child-sensitive SP strategy, provide guidance and technical support on evaluations of social protection programmes, facilitated multiple evidence-backed technical guidance papers favouring Early Childhood Development, conducted trainings on social protection for multiple stakeholders, developed methodologies to conduct vulnerability analysis to support the national institutes in conducting the study, provided extensive guidance and support on the development of a national MIS, state-wise M&E systems and programme-wide systems. In the most recent phase, EPRI is quality assuring evaluation designs, providing extensive state-level support for strengthening social protection systems and leading the development of the MIS.
