The Economic Policy Research Institute, a global organisation based in Cape Town, is a not-for-profit independent research institute that specialises in the design, implementation, and evaluation of social protection programmes, capacity building, and government and civil society policy advisory services. EPRI is committed to pro-poor, equitable and inclusive economic growth and protection for vulnerable groups and populations as a developmental response to poverty. EPRI endeavours to build South-South cooperation and develop local knowledge through capacity-building work and technical assistance to country-led policy formation. EPRI is also committed to building and sharing robust evidence based on social protection drawn from economic analysis and global lessons of experience.
