In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, social protection programmes have emerged as vital tools in mitigating the impacts of complex system of interconnected epidemiological, economic, social, and political shocks. Taught by an exceptional team of international experts and practitioners, this course offers a unique opportunity for professionals from diverse sectors, including government, development partners, donor agencies and non-governmental organisations to engage in dialogues on critical issues in social protection.

Since its inception in Cape Town in 2007, the course has trained over 2000+ participants from more than 72 countries.

Applications for the DIASPS course open twice a year. In January, the course is usually
held in Cape Town, South Africa, and in August/September, it is usually held in
Bangkok, Thailand. Changes may apply every year.
